No, they are bred to have fighting characteristics - strength, jaws, etc. That does NOT mean they are bred to be aggressive or vicious, it means that if they do attack, the results are more serious. Small lap dogs, in my experience, are more often the ones with a difficult temperament and shitty behaviour and likely to snap, but the incidence of serious damage is far less, so it isn't perceived as such a problem.
It is largely down to how the dog is trained and treated.
Seriously? You don't know about the face transplant? This was years and years ago...yes, this was the first successful one...that's why it was significant...
