I edited before I knew you replied. Was not my intent to make you appear rude and I don't think any reasonable person could find your reply rude. You could have editted yours as well if you were concerned.
The phrasing of your original question? That came across as rude.
I think "under the impression" and "many of the users", not all, says it's just a question. It's not like I called anyone a loser without a social life.
I'm aware it's just a question, but the phrasing makes it seem like you ARE calling people losers. And the frequency at which that happens (which is quite possibly reflected in the 20+ votes you mention - there's no indication that the people who voted think its positive or negative) led me to assume you were and I apologise.
What charli is saying is that you assumed people here socialize behind a mask, -but not- IRL. That's what 'rather than' means in your context.
It's possible you misworded yourself, but in doing so you basically said we don't want or have friends so we all come here instead. Like a bunch of socially inadequate hermits.
If you did misrepresent yourself, you can disregard my comment below. Well, except the part where I say we come here to say how we feel without consequence.
Don't worry too much. I'm here everyday and I don't have the feeling that you called any of us losers in your post. Your question was clear and I voted yes.
I understand that now, as I had said disregard my previous comment. As for others agreeing, it doesn't mean they agreed with what they thought what you were thinking, it just means they agreed with whatever they think you said. You may not think everyone who dares use IIN more than once a week is a loser, but many do- which is why charli and I jumped the gun. But I should repeat, I misunderstood and I apologize for doing so.
iin i think IIN is frequently used as an alternative to social media?

What's wrong with ME? You start with an accusatory tone...
What exactly do you expect? A group of humans together in one place will be social. That's what humans DO.

Not really. It was just a question.
