You can have the worst thoughts in the world, want to rape children or want to kill everyone within a 10 km radius, as long as those thoughts stay in your head and you don't act on your impulses, even if you help people just because it's common sense, you're still a way better person that anyone not having those thoughts but not helping anyone at all.
