I agree with you in a way but definitely think your view is normal. I'm a girl and I like the way I look without make up except for covering an occasional breakout (who likes that) & feel my no makeup face is as good or "better" than most other female no makeup faces, the problem is my no makeup face in public or even at home with various media around isn't being compared to other no makeup faces but to other well made up even professionally made up faces, so I usually wear makeup to reveal the "truth" - that other women aren't super hot and me plain, u know voila see the similarities I put on my face too. I would join in if no makeup became even a little common, but won't go truly natural if other girls are just wearing the "natural look" even playing field I guess. Then again SOMETIMES I just don't care and often when I feel my "hottest" my makeup was smeared off anyway
