Is it normal i think fat women shouldn't wear formal dresses

Especially wedding dresses. I have nothing against fat people, but I believe certain body shapes suit certain styles of dress. I think no matter what the dress looks like, it will not do any favors for a large body.

Many fat women seem to wear strapless dresses as well, which usually ends up with their boobs spilling out and the armpit fat squeezing out which looks so tacky. Whats wrong with accepting you are a larger size and dressing to accommodate that? It doesn't look nice, I cringe when I see a larger lady in a dress that would suit someone half the size.

  • Oh, you don't like how fat women look in such clothing? I have a remedy. Don't look.

Women and men are free to dress however they want, their size does not come in to the equation. Ofcourse there are exceptions for certain clothing you wear, however not due to what size you are.

What should they wear then? Large shapeless high priestess garb? Tight latex cat suits (coming right at you with a whip!)? Traditional garb? Nothing? Shorts wear their bootays are hanging out as they are furiously being shook. (You stir that ice, gurls!) should those big pendulous or perky breasts be allowed to roam free, into the wild where they belong? Should those big bananas be allowed to be unsheathed as their owners walk nude in the Forrest?

Wouldn't a trash bag accent their best features?

Wouldn't the Greek Togas that were draped around the bodies of Gods and Goddesses in those paintings be much better?

Every curve of fat, could be excentuated (close enough!) in a flat erring manner. The cloth would be soft and light.

I feel like this is a belief that you shouldn't go out preaching in public. Honestly I've been guilty of looking at some woman and thinking, not saying, "wow they cannot pull that off." However, on a girl's wedding day she's suppose to feel beautiful, let her have that. I understand that not everyone has a perfect body, whatever the hell that means, but let people do whatever they want to feel pretty. Men included. I own a sweater that's really cool, but it's kind of tight around my waist, so my gut kind of shows, I'm super insecure about that but I use to wear it a lot and loved it, until you know I saw myself in the mirror. Anyways, OP, let's be real, every body is insecure about something and nobody is put on this earth to impress someone else, they should try to impress themselves and if wearing a formal dress makes you feel like a stud or a princess, then let them have that moment. Keep your mouth shut and smile politely.

What if they feel comfortable how they are, and aren't ashamed of their body shape/size? Maybe they don't want to look buttoned up or as if their body or how they're perceived is a priority, perhaps it doesn't look the best on them, but maybe they just don't care. Ever think about that?

Oh, i think that is not right! Even if i am a fat girl, i want to be a beautiful bride on that day. Usually, wearing a dazzling wedding dress is a dream for all girls. Luckily, i found a online website www.modabridal.co.uk, there i ordered a vintage plus size wedding dress, i gave my precise sizes to them, they custom made the dress for me. Quickly, i received it, it is very fit for me, so my husband and friends said i looked beautiful very much, i am too happy. Fat girls, don't be afraid any more from now on!

People are being too hard on you, its normal for you to think that about fat people in dresses. I think a lot of people shouldnt wear a lot of things! As long as you don't go around saying rude things and upsetting people its fine to think whatever you want.
I think men look ridiculous in skinny jeans and flip flops, I just don't say it. So I vote normal.

Normal - if you're a clothes designer/dress maker. Since I'm neither of those, I do not feel it is any of my business what other people wear.
