Is it normal I think dog food smells appetizing sometimes?

    I thought the same about cat food before, so I tried a tiny little piece of it and nearly threw up. It was disgusting. I had planned to try a piece of dog food as well, but decided against it after that.

      Cat food is specifically designed to have an extremely strong, STRONG taste because their wild ancestors loved to eat some rotten fishstuffs that they left out in the sun to marinade.
