Is it normal i think 90s moms on t.v. shows.
Looked and acted so much older than their age. Some were late 20s, playing late 20s and looked and acted 50.

I was rewatching full house recently and Jesse was supposedly 25 ish back then, I thought he was more like mid-30s when i watched as a kid. I also thought team rocket from pokemon were in their 30s, but they're actaully like 17.

Yeah I figured him and misty were older teens but I guess misty is only 10, just looked it up. Another one I heard recently is that Mario is supposed to be 24 or 25. haha

Yeah and I was rewatching Sabrina the Teenage Witch. She's actually a teen but looks 25+ and her aunts were barely out of their 20s but look 45+!!!
I think the mom from home alone was like 29 or something when it was filmed she looks 45 😂

Well kids it is like this -
For some unknown reason, back in the 80's and at least part of the 90's, it was pretty normal for TV and movie to make women look older and more sophisticated.yeah they did typically look older than what they really were. Older in a mature way, not older as in aging badly.
Not sure what was up but yeah. In a way it sucked cause they seemed more intimidating.
It was like there was this pressure to grow up fast. These days it seems maturity is shunned.

When Home Alone was filmed, the mom (Catherine O'hara) was 35.
I think part of it is we are getting older.
But even so, re-watching those shows, the women on TV were more sophisticated even for their ages than these silly-ass millenial women.

Getting older? No way milennials are young and look nothing like the people of the 90s and before that. I'm 23 and those people looked soooooo old. Any time before the year 2000, it's like they aged twice as fast. I am shocked the lady from home alone was only 30s. She acts and looks like my 52 year old mum. Watching all series and movies before 2000 is so weird. I can't remember which I saw recently I looked up on imdb thought this woman was 50s she was 27 from some 90s t.v. show.
Ooh ooh and get this. The woman who plays SCULLY in X files who I thought was way older than me the entire time I watched it recently was only 24!!!! I thought much older!! Glad I don't have to look older, I like 2018. 😊

I thought late 40s. Im 25 , my sister is 34 looks nothing like a 34 year old years ago , she looks the same as a 20 something.
Maybe it was because they all smoked and cared less about their looks..hmm
Sophisticated or growing up too fast? No one should be pushed to act 50 so quickly. Watching classic films from 80s and 90s it's sad seeing 25-35 year olds look and act near 50. People should embrace their age not push to be older.

Not a huge difference. She still looked 45+. No way she looked 35 lol no 35 year old looks or dresses like that. I'm in my twenties and my friends are 20s and 30s, they look young. They dress so much older than their age back then.
Look at tons of movies and shows they dress so old for
20s and 30s. It's like when people turned 25 back then, they started acting middle aged even had hair styles that only 50+ year olds wear today. There used to be a group called bewitched I thought they were mid to late 30s. They were teens lol.Look at teens back then they all look 30+. See a babysitter on a movie and she looks 40 but is 16
