Is it normal i talk freely with one of my gay guy friends about guys?

(note: I'm female)

One of my best friends is gay and I go to him to get advice on guys. Since we share the same loop of friends, he can find out easily if someone is interested in me.

We also talk about who we think is hot and which of us will get a date next (ongoing joke as he's been trying to set me up with a guy for 2 years).

Is it normal?
