You are thinking of a very specific type of dog.. A well-loved and well-fed pet in a well-off home in a country with a pet culture. I wouldn't want to be a hard working siberian sheepdog sleeping in a kennel at night, or a scrapyard guard dog, or on the menu in South Korea! Given the choice I'd be a 14 year old middle class European girl's friendly and enthusiatic golden retriever.. otherwise I'm staying human.
