Is it normal i sometimes think "what if i was from russia"?

I find Russian culture very interesting to read about, and i love the language. I can speak it "Fake" pretty well, but can also say some things... Mostly swearing stuff which is nasty for some people.

So is it normal that i sometimes daydream alittle about living in russia.. Breathin' in russian dirty air?.. Living in one of those depressing apartment blocks?

My name is usually "Dimitri Snetrov" when the thought comes around.. Even though "Snetrov" is probably not even a REAL russian name i still pick that as the second name.

I've been to Russia before, it was great to finally get to SEE & feel the atmosphere there.. in St.petersburg, it was only for a day but it was interesting, and so different. With it's somewhat (Out of centrum) depressing soviet look.

    Yeah I have similar thoughts. Asian culture really fascinates me, even though I am as white and Irish-American as you can get. Sometimes I think what if I were Korean or Chinese. But those thoughts are pretty fleeting. The culture is so different that I would be a completely different person

    Russia is really fascinating too. The culture and how communism affected it are interesting to think about. But, similarly, russian culture is so different that I simply couldn't imagine being russian. The only other nationality/ethnicity that I could imagine myself being is English or some other type of european
