to answer the question you posed, it is normal to repeat things when painting, practice makes perfect and repetition lets you try to make it 'finer' than before. as this is not intentional then you may be trying to tell yourself something. things always change and you could be holding yourself back (like how the picture never changes) it could also be something to do with your perspective on life. and lastly it could just be easier for you to draw so you pick it for that reason and just forget about it since it's so routine. hope I helped some.
