I enjoy helping other people, donating to worthy causes, volunteering, etc. However I do not want to be anybody's 'rock' or person to lean on. It does get to be an imposition and puts me in a place I don't want to be. I have a friend like that and I almost dread it when I see she has left a message on my voicemail.
