Is it normal i reacted like this

I was at the beach the other day and some guy threw sand into my face for no apparent reason. I waited until he was about to get into his car and leave about one hour later then ran at him with a baseball bat knocked him over with a blow to the headand hit him in his shin so hard it broke the bat in half and then stabbed him in the crotch as hard as I could with the sharp splintered end. I ran away before I could see if it did any serious damage so I don’t know how he is but I was so pissed about the sand incident. I seems like all the good people have evaporated from the surface of the world and all we have are cruel and inhumane barbarians like this sand-throwing piece of shit. I’ve been thinking I might have gone too far. What do you think?

Battery, Agravated Assault, assault with a deadly weapon, attempted murder, conspiracy. decade or two estimate if he tracks you down. Honestly I think you should turn yourself in, it’s better to do this than have them track you down. You can’t say it was on self defense because it happened an hour ago if anything it was simple battery. Think about this logically you need to do the right thing here and find out who he is and apologize and hope to god you can get this straightened out.

Seems like a perfectly reasoned response to me.

Then you are a sociopath or a psychopath. Because no normal person would take a 1 and bring it up to a 10 an hour later. Premeditated crime is what that is. A normal response would to immediately tell the person that they Are an asshole and maybe get into fisticuffs but it’s not worth doing that reaction.

  • Sounds like you did a bit of fujitsu and that’s impressive, but why wait for an hour after the altercation occurred to beat him up?

... because it's probably pretend time, but if it isn't then that would mean that OP is probably just a sociopathic coward who fancies himself a ninja in his mind. The truth is that someone like this would never stand up for himself if it was a fair fight, because he'd get his ass handed to him.

Meh. Consequences are an ever present danger. The sand thrower should be glad the OP was not a sniper with an icy temperament.

Most likely none of it happened except in the poster's mind.

He should watch old episodes of "Burn Notice". A mastery of counter-surveillance military tactics that bring a covert mission to completion should contribute to a gentlemanly demeanor while sipping a cold drink afterwards.

two wrongs do not make right, and in my opinion your wrong was much worse. much more mature and appropriate ways to handle it that could still have the same impact on him and his future behavior. be smart, sometimes physical force is needed, this case seems like you took it wayy to far.

Really all of it?! Don’t try to see the world as black and white, it’s all gray from a distance. I like to think of it as good vs good. Everyone wants to do good for themselves but it’s how they go about it that can be criticized. Everyone has an angle and everyone has a goal it keeps things intresting.
