Is it normal i put flour in my omelette?
2 eggs + flour + a dash of milk = what, normally, when it's not a pancake?
What I end up with is a kinda squidgy microwaved savory cake - a really huge one.
I feel like a weirdo eating this but it's just SOOO tasty.
I don't bother with measurements; I just get the mixture so it's a gooey batter (thicker than pancake batter, thinner than cake batter), mix in chilli sauce, chicken stock and whatever else is in my cupboard and put it in a plastic microwave container wih the lid slightly open. It's a lid on hinges so when the cake rises the lid just flips over. I turn the cake over to quickly finish off the bottom side if it's still slightly soggy after 2 minutes...
...and I get a sort of massive squidgy chilli dumpling. It's delicious, and not too high calorie considering the size of it... but is it normal?? Am I weird for liking this? If not, why don't more people on low food budgets eat it???
It takes 3 minutes to cook - maybe less if your microwave isn't the lowest quality - and about 3 minutes to mix the ingredients. Literally all you need is a bowl, a microwavable plastic container, a microwave, a spoon and a fork. And the ingredients are flour, milk, 2 eggs, a small OXO cube, chilli sauce and any other condiment that's hanging around your cupboard.
