A minor correction: it's not the stomach acid that causes the tears, it's from the pressure exerted on the oesophagus, particularly during forceful vomiting. Most of the time, they're partial thickness tears, which bleed but are rarely deadly. Full thickness tears, on the other hand, are always deadly if untreated.
Is it normal I puke up my food when I'm full just so I can eat more?
