I cant stand Instagram either, as you say it’s an endless parade of lies and narcissism creating a breeding ground for greed and low-self esteem.
I wouldn’t be too hard on yourself for joining in though, the pressure to use social media in 2019 is immense and it’s normal to wonder what you’re missing and want to be a part of it. It also sounds to me like what you posted was perhaps cringey in hindsight but wasn’t anything controversial or career-damaging. I doubt this will come back to bite you in years to come.
