Mr. Rogers (no "d") was a kind and gentle man. He also cared very much about children - not in a creepy way at all. You should see his testimony before Congress. He really knew what kids need to grow up healthy in mind. And Tom Hanks is a very good if not great actor. I think he's an excellent choice to play Fred Rogers. Who else would you see playing the part? I can't think of anyone.

I love his voice, and accent! He sounds Southern, but not too much. There's something very genteel about him, and he exudes intelligence.
