Is it normal I mistook a pregnant woman for being fat?

  • That's funny, happens to me all of the time.
Considering that, if you're in the US, guessing that she is overweight would have been statistically likely, yes I'd say it's normal.

    • What happens to you all the time? That people mistake you for being pregnant when you're just a bit overweight, or that you're actually pregnant and people mistake you for just being fat?

The funny thing is, even though I'm American, I've seen more average and thin people than I have overweight or obese people.

      • No, I am average weight. I mistake pregnant women as just chunky women all of the time.

May be the region you live in. I lived in the South and Southern California. SoCal is horrible for child obesity and youth obesity whereas I have noticed the South is horrible for obesity in middle aged and older adults.

        • Haha, lol- then I'm glad I'm not alone :)

Yeah, I guess it can be where I live.... there's kind of a mix of everything where I live, so it's not really like there's a huge amount of fat or skinny people.
