You really aren't bi-polar, believe me. Unfortunately the disorder seems to have developed some sort of glamour associated with it, mainly through media exposure. There has been a vast increase in the portrayal of bi-polar characters, or those with mental illness in general, in films and TV shows as they want to seem interesting and edgy. I'm not saying that's why you're wondering if you're bi-polar at all, it's just that it's often misrepresented through media, so people don't fully understand the symptoms, and what a struggle life is for someone who genuinely suffers from the disorder. As previously mentioned, doctors are often far too quick to deal out diagnoses, particularly since much of the science of mental illness is still not yet full understood. It is true that pretty much anyone could be diagnosed with behaviour considered 'abnormal', but in all honesty, the symptoms you've described sound very normal. Furthermore, the term 'bi-polar' is often used as a superlative for mood-swings, though not at all accurately. So don't worry, you're fine!
