I've never understood it, the only logic I find in it tends to piss people off.
For example, I'm certain trans people are trans primarily because the opposite sex they want to imitate has better cultural and sociatal things that appeals to them, such as clothing, make up, no make up, behaviours, etc.
There is a lot of evidence that being trans is biological (not in every case, but brain differences have been found and higher incidence in identical twins vs fraternal/other siblings).
Also, not all trans people want to transition either at all or just not outwardly.
And...body dysmorphia is a very, very real thing. It's not just 'hmm, I wish I looked different'...it's an extreme condition that profoundly affects your life.
Gender dysmorphia was called gender identity disorder and was labeled as a mental illness up until very recently which is the correct label for this condition. Transgenderism is not biological. I personally don't really care what they do with their own life but I don't think we should play along with dilution and say yup you're right. Your a girl.
The way I see it is, why bother being a dick? You say you don't care so why not just call them by the name they present themself as and move along? You can believe whatever you want but give others basic human respect. Put simply, it doesn't hurt you or anyone else to address someone as they want...but it definitely can hurt people if you refuse that basic courtesy. Why make someone's life worse when you could just smile, nod and move along and not make a big deal out of it?
In my opinion they are the people making a big deal out of it if they actually care what people call them. If they get all pissy if people call then the wrong gender then I feel like they are the people making a big deal. Also, sometimes it's hard to tell what these people even want to be called and sometimes asking them is considered rude. There is no way to get through a conversation with them without someone being offended.
Uh, most people care how you address them. It's not unique to trans people.
I agree that flipping out if you make an honest mistake or expecting you to read their mind is not cool but again, this behavior is not unique to trans people.
Why are you having so many interactions with trans people, anyway? Are you seeking them out? That doesn't seem normal, especially for a guy who 'doesn't care'. Are you just making up these supposed multiple interactions or...are you trolling trans people...or what?
I won't pretend I know everything about the subject, I just find it weird how it mainly revolves around being perceived the opposite sex when it's supposed to be a biological sense.
Maybe it's because I'm skeptical about the amount of people claiming to have the biological aspect of trans instead of just wanting the social perception of being the opposite sex without actually having the biological aspect.
Don't get me wrong, not saying there's anything wrong with people wanting to adopt the female societal styles and mannerisms but I find it a bit iffy when such people claim to have the biological difference when it's motivated by other influences, be it upbringing, political stances, ideology, etc. Lol.
I don't know the extent to which I believe upbringing and political ideology can turn someone LGBT.
You can find LGBT people in families across the political spectrum, and born into all kinds of backgrounds. I was born into a stable middle class Catholic home, with both a mother and a father who had moderate-conservative views, and I turned out gay. I've seen it all in other LGBT people I've met over the years, everything from the "stereotypical" gay raised by a single mom, to closeted LGBT people scared shitless because their families were conservative orthodox Muslims. Part of the high suicide rate with transgender people is because they're often not accepted by their families.
The only time I think it's politics is when you're talking about the stupid unicorn plum faerie Tumblrinas claiming stupidly nuanced genders. Those kind of people are always pretty far-Leftists, and them jumping on the bandwagon typically does say more about their politics than their actual life situation. They're all fourth-wave feminists.
Definetly. I'm not saying that someone can only be LGBT through influence, just saying that I do believe that there are people influenced into it aswell. Like, certain parents raising their child as the opposite sex rather than letting them grow up and decide for themselves, and certain aspects of SJW communities influencing, like the fourth wave-feminists you mentioned. :)
I don't think it's any different than how non-trans people want to appear. Most people want to appear as they feel inside. You could probably empathise with a bio male who had unwanted large breast tissue...or a man who lost his penis in an accident...or a female who had thick unwanted facial hair. Now imagine it's your whole body that is 'wrong'. And it's not just to appear a certain way, it's how you feel, how you get treated, your personal happiness, mental health, etc.
There have been people raised as one gender but were actually the opposite. David Reimer is probably the most famous example (born male, lost penis as a baby, raised female) and it did not work out well for him. The psychologist who treated him was sure gender was all nurture and raising him female would be fine. It wasn't. His ordeal has spurred change in how cases like his are handled.
I think more liberal people are just more open anx accepting which is why you might think there are more LGBTQ people from such backgrounds/affiliations. Left/liberal politics is also the most concerned and progressive with LGBTQ rights. No mystery why an LGBTQ person might align themselves with that side. Religious/conservatives are generally less accepting and some are outright hateful of anybody who is different. This group is also typically against LGBTQ rights, or if not outright against them they are usually not 'pro', meaning they aren't actively helping progress and hinder progress by voting in officials who are not progressive in that regard because it's not seen as important to them. If you're LGBTQ, you'll probably either leave the group or stay in the closet, hence why you won't see as many.
And the reason they want to change so badly, (and this affects girls more) is because of artificial hormones being released into the environment, on things like cans, and the artificial hormone is fake estrogen.
Estrogen is naturally found in girls, but this artificial estrogen is called BPA.
Its sprayed on cans on other things. You'll notice this if you ever buy something that say "BPA-Free"
Like what is this chemical in the first place, and why are our things now coming in BPA-Free something thats never been heard of before.
It actually doesn't effect woman more until you get to 65 years old. It effects men way more in the teen years and starts to drop a bit after that while woman stay about the same but go down a bit after teen years.
IIN I'm weirded out by transgenderism?

I have actually had interactions with trans people some through an actual conversation and some through social media.

Oh, realised you embarrassed yourself and deleted the evidence?

You see their little propaganda here?
You see how they try to twist reality on your perspective.
That graph says 93% of people are infected. Not that its normal because so many people have it.
But because they have been successful at infecting 93% of people with their poison.
