Not at all. I love cats. I also like kids, am good with them, and could happily spend an entire day with a kid. I enjoy giving and receiving affection with girlfriends but with boundaries. Certain levels of affection freak me out.
Example: The lights were on. Me and gf were in bed. She decided to get on top of me, grab some lotion, and give me a chest/shoulder massage, all while looking at me dead straight in the eyes. We've had sex and had physical intimacy many times but this moment felt the most intimate and on a "real" level and freaked the hell out of me. I remember telling her to stop for some made-up reason.

It's quite okay I think. I prefer keeping people at an arm's length. Allows more control. Emotional investment just clouds the logical mind.
Emotional bonds can suffer or sever. Not a big deal. I've developed to function without them :). Good chat though. Take care <3
