You only made yourself look like you dont know what we are discussing.
Also I love most animals but these kinds of occurances are unacceptable and it sounds like an out of control dog with lousy owners. Who really cares if some violent dog gets diareah and shits all over their lazy owners carpet.
In that case he should not make the dog sick. In this case he should sue them and take them to court. If it was indeed their dog that attacked them it is something they should pay for. If someone kid crashes another persons car and is under care of that person they will pay. The op did not mention this in the original post. Which would have been helpful information. However he did not so comes off as an asshole not an abused victim. Unless the dog attacked him when he was robbing them or breaking in. Which is a real defense.
