I am an extravert, I am not shy save for rare situations. Take it from me, if you're shy because you're afraid of humiliation, don't be. I don't analyze whether or not you paid complete eye contact, your tone of voice, etc. And if I do find you annoying, unless you're a blatant asshole, doubtful I'll remember for longer than 10 minutes.
Being shy is usually a byproduct of being self conscious. You're your biggest critic. Trust me when I say that only the prickliest of pricks would analyze you as much as you do.
