    Oh, bollocks! What if your assumption is incorrect and someone is nearly twice her age?! Then what?

      Then it's only an assumption that works in certain circumstances. It's the reason I started by saying you should feel free to ignore it. I'll stand by what I said and still say you should ignore it.
