Is it normal i'm sick of the corporations aren't people card?

People need to respect corporations. Corporations built this country and made it great. The real question is are people corporations? People aren't trustworthy or good like corporations are. Everything that is good and American was done by corporations. That's why socialist countries like Europe aren't as great as us. We have to make people work with corporations for the greatness of America and no one can disagree. We have to do more to get people to work with corporations and we can't let the liberals stop that.

Is It Normal?

  • Workers built this country. No one else!

  • I don't think you know what "great" means.

  • I had an orgy with a conglomerate of corporations once. Bain Capital wasn't very well hung. I got Exxon-Mobil's stuff in my hair and Berkshire Hathaway filmed the whole thing, including the part where I was sandwiched between Walt Disney and John Deere.

  • I don't distrust the corporation itself. A corporation is basically a system and it is a system designed to be profitable to it's shareholders. If operated with respect to the environment and to the people who work in it (particularly, in the loser levels), a corporation can be a great, beneficial and profitable capital.

Sadly, a lot of corporations have very intelligent people who have figured out ways to skirt environmental and employee concerns. Hence, why I support corporate regulation. The corporation itself is not the evil, rather, the people who run it.

Another problem with corporations is that they have a tendency to screw up communities. Back in the day, when businesses were more localized and the business owners LIVED in the communities in which they operated, they CARED about their community and put efforts into improvement. Often times, CEOs don't live in every community they operate businesses in, so why do they care?

I am not anti-corporation, but I am very much pro-corporate regulation and corporate ethics.

  • Europe's a country now? Wow.

I disagree with you very much. I don't know what definition of corporation you're basing this on, because some of this doesn't make much sense to me. Either way, some corporations can't be trusted at all.

  • Are you trolling, or do you really feel this way?

Most corporations function on the idea that you need constant growth to succeed. This concept can only work for a while but the reality is that you cannot have infinite growth on a finite planet.

I like the idea of B-corporations. The idea that companies give back to their local communities and are held accountable for their actions.

  • Your ideal of greatness is perhaps a little skewed. It is the "corporations" or the elite. Who want the world's population reduced buy at least half and your great American nation to become a reserve devoid of but a handful of human caretakers.

  • I am not sure what you are getting at but this is a fact. Businesses create jobs for the country. These businesses and organizations be it government owned or personally owned run the economy. When people are working they pay into the businesses. When the businesses have lots of money and hire more people so that they can expand. Some of the bigger businesses might crush the small ones. However offer work to the people working for the small business who lost their jobs. Saying you want to destroy these companies is saying you like homeless and jobless people. However for things like education I do not think they should be paying into businesses. I think the welfare should be the health and education of the kids. Not if they will get paid more money by the government or if they get a cheaper deal feeding the children none healthy food they claim follow health code. Which is complete shit. The government is made to dish out and regulate who gets money. They get money off of taxes. Kind of like England wanted to tax for tea. Something people seem to miss.

    • No, he's just very very stupid, but on the bright side he's more than likely at least a little more intelligent than people who still believe that our solar system follows a geocentric orbit(yes, they do still exist...despite overwhelming scientific evidence to the contrary).

  • I'll quote famous General Electric CEO Jack Welsh. "Labor Unions are good when you have thugs running your factories and you can't get rid of them."

Card Check is an attempt by the thugs to run both the factories and the unions. A free people *must* have secret ballot. Never ever support CardCheck.

  • You are forgetting that corporations need to respect individuals too. You can't expect people to respect them if they don't respect them back.

How can you not trust people but you trust corporations? Corporations are a group of people co-operating as a single entity. You can't have corporations without people hence they won't exist in the first place.

Well if you all pro-corporation - well say bye bye your local Mum and pa stores and bring in good old Walmart to drown them. Funny, sounds like a communist invasion swooping in taking over a street corner near you!
