A lot of people do so much better and achieve, after leaving the confining environment of high school. My hs years were normal by most standards, I played sports, had friends, and did fairly well. But, even I felt..I can't wait to be out of here and away from all this. Really grew in college, when was around different people and views.
I've also always felt that people who never leave town or their local area, are stunted. They're perenially in high school mode, go to all the football games, bonfires, and rah-rah at 30 years old when others are having actual lives. Look at your driving issue as a local thing. It's all mental, b/c you're in the same environment.
My advice would be: get out of town. The driving thing will subside with time.
Is it normal I'm scared to go to school?
