I know all about this stuff, I'm 3hrs away from the family and I have a brother an hr over from where I am that sees them all the time. They come up and stay at his place. If anyone comes over to mine it's either from his place first where they're staying a few days - and then back over after they see me , or they come here for an hr or two then go over to his place for a few days. He'll put in any amount of work he has to to have them stay.
Then they all sit around like chooks in a hen house - talking bout me I'm sure of it.
Funny thing is he won't say a bad word about anyone else yet seems to love a gossip about me.Had a lot of stuff come back to me over the 3 yrs I've been here, sure it's always going on.
I hardly see any of them I'm just not into it that much and like having my own little world over here.
Like I don't want them staying and I always guard against it but , I know this'll be going on if I don't.
F'n hate this bs and got better things to do than constantly go round straightening out any shit, I dunno. I'd like them to just drop in from time to time on a one to one basis bc I hardly see any of them but I could never do the stay thing or compete with him on all that , not even interested.
Yep your doing what I just try to do tho , I just try to get a word in on anything I've heard to one or two that I'm sort of close to if I do see one of them , which is usually over at his place anyway and hope for the best. Apart from that I'm not really sure what else to do.
I really don't see any of them more than a few hrs every yr or two- he spends mths with them all on a one to one every yr.
I'm not jealous of that , I could never be f'd doing that with them all . he'll go to any lengths , God know why I've got a life to live myself.
I just hate this side of it it all tho. Sorry I don't really have any better suggestions , I'm still trying to figure it out.
But yeah I reckon it is normal , give people an inch and they'll take a mile - even beloved family.
