I live in a big city, so we get a decent number of exchange students and immigrants. Like many guys, I'm quite into women who are from different countries. However, as I've become more interested in girls from different cultures, I've found that I'm just not interested in women from my own country anymore. Maybe it's because they're so familiar and boring to me, but I don't even find the hot or funny ones interesting. It's not even just about sex, I enjoy any sort of socializing with the foreign women more than with the locals. Maybe I just love hearing the accents. It's also broadened my horizons, making me realize I could be interested in ethnicities besides the almost blindingly white women common here. But now I just can't see myself with a woman who's from the same country I am. I thought it was just a phase, but it's been going on too long. If she isn't from somewhere else, I just can't get all that into her sexually.

    Do you like talking to foreign men? Do you have an urge to visit other countries and be a traveler taking in new cultures?

    If it's "no" to both of those then maybe it's not about discovering new cultures. Maybe it really is about the sex.

    There's nothing wrong with liking foreign women, but just make sure that you're not placing them on some kind of pedestal in your mind, and underestimating the women of your own country. I've noticed that some people do that (no matter what country they live in), and it's not realistic. Try to keep in mind that foreign women are not necessarily better, they might just seem 'new' or exotic to you in some way.

    I've been involved with people from five different countries. Afterwards, I generally found the familiarity of English girls to be really attractive again.

    Difference is nice but having similar backgrounds often makes mutual understanding deeper.
