Is it normal I'm in a relationship with a man who is 30 years older?

  • My girl friend is 41 years my junior. We are sailing around the Caribbean on a 50' sailboat and having more fun than a barrel of monkeys, together. I am not rich, though I do not have to work and she is obviously a lot of help sailing and maintaining the boat.
We discussed the fact that she will outlive me by many years, before we sailed to the Caribbean, and she accepts it in exchange for whatever time we can have together. Obviously, there are few or no women my age who would enjoy this lifestyle, so that is not a reality and even if there was one, the work is pretty strenuous for a mid-60's (or even most mid-40's) woman.
I think it sad a few of you cannot accept the age difference of the poster's relationship and of course you will be even meaner to me. However, I don't care as we are happy, having fun and enjoy each others company.
She has a great sense of humor, by the way, calling herself my sCrew to those who ask if we are "together".
