    I agree, trash the brush (because it will always be itching at you)
    Buy her a new really expensive brush.
    When she asks why, just say I scratched my backside with the old one and felt guilty for it.
    She'll never fully understand that you meant your Ass HOLE, don't tell her though, as you will then be the asshole forever.
