Try not to let your loneliness swallow you alive. It's good that you have a cat! It's important to have something outside of ourselves for which to live. A lot of haters are gonna hate on me for this, but do try to be open to a Higher Power of your understanding, and by Higher Power I do mean God, or rather God as you understand God. People tend to be much lonelier, more desperate and hopeless when they don't have something bigger than themselves in which to believe.
When you find a young lady you're interested in try not to put her on a pedestal or worship her, because no one can live up to that sort of thing. We all eventually let down those we love, and those who love us.
In the meantime try to do the best for yourself, get good rest, exercise, nutrition and feed your mind with position things. Learn to love yourself, because your higher power does love you! If you can't love yourself, how are you gonna love anybody else?
Hang in there, man; you are not alone in your struggle!
I'm sorry for your loss. My cat just turned ten and it really scares me, because I feel like his life is 75% over. He's my best friend and I wish I could have him strong and healthy for the rest of my life.
My heart really goes out to you. How old was kitty, what happened?
I'm sorry about your breakup, but try to focus more on your feelings of grief and loss about your cat. I hope this doesn't sound too terribly insensitive, but it's always been my belief that an ex us an ex for a reason.
Maybe you can do some volunteer work with cats or kittens soon? It's also important to pray and meditate about the gratitude that I'm sure you have for your cat and his or her presence in your life.
Thanks so much. Your kind words bring me some comfort. I am thinking of doing volunteer work for some animal rights group, yeah...
What hurts me is that the ex and I had a connection, she felt it too but just bailed on me. I guess I should accept that but it hurts.
Thanks heaps for the advice. Actually, I'm quite spiritual and frequent my religious/charity group weekly. But I got in so deep that only after some 4 months of depressive thoughts I am starting to get out of the hole.
IIN I'm going crazy coz I'm so alone?

Forgot to add he was about 8.

Goodness, my cat just turned 10 as well but I think of him being middle aged, not 75% through. My previous cat died at 16.

I can relate. I'm also terrified of losing him.

Cats are great companions. I wish your buddy stays around for many years ahead. Just remember to take him to a vet at any change in his behaviour.
