  • I don't try to reject their beliefs. I was raised as a full blown Pentecostal Christian and tried so hard to get closer to God. If he existed, he just didn't care.

    For the longest time, my parents never even knew I was Atheist. I just hid it from them for good reason. I figured there was no way to properly argue with them, as they will cheat the argument and force me to go back to Church.

    I'm just...diss-appointed in the majority of humanity. They only seem interested in what makes those 'happy feelings' come. They don't want knowledge, they want feeling.

    • Most people want to escape reality and feel good. Drug addicts do it. I'm not saying your parents are drug addicts I'm just saying their behavior is understandable. Also, knowledge can usually lead to misery. I mean just look at what happened to Adam and Eve. If your family wants to stay happy then let them.
