  • So long as you don't think of people who aren't white as inferior then yes, it is normal.

  • Sure, why not.

  • It's good that you love to be yourself, if that's what you mean.

  • Well I like being Caucasian because I like history and the history of Caucasian peoples is quite rich. I would probably read the same history anyway and it wouldn't matter much but I guess it's just nice to feel that slight connection. Sometimes I wish I had darker skin for sun exposure reasons but what can you do?

  • You like you because that's who you are.... big fucking deal.

well, I suppose it is a big deal if you're asian... only they seem to have the self hating complex going on. Blacks, latinos, arabs, indians, native americans, they seem good with their own identity - asian though, just insult their eyes and they have such an insecure complex about theirs!

  • Absolutely. I love my bronze skin:) I love wearing shorts and being in the sunlight because that's when my skin is at it's best. It really does look like bronze!!

  • It depends on the country you are in. For those who live where they are the majority, the typically don't view themselves as a race. Though, seeking value in race is deplorable (as it is a social construct based on skin tone and assumptions about aptitude etc.) Pride in one's ethnicity, (Which refers to history and culture) is rather normal, and healthy for forging one's own identity. There's other things I'd like to say (I'm a sociologist) but I'll leave it at that. Just make sure you are taking active ownership of your heritage if you claim pride in it.

    • please elaborate on this. If one "takes pride" in their own ethnicity, heritage etc... but then ultimately wants their children to be another race... what does that make them? Hypocrites?
