Steve Irwin is kind of fake Australian. Nobody actually speaks like that here anymore. You might find some old person in the outback who still sounds like that but most people dont. Most people also think he was an annoying idiot. The characters that are sold to Americans such as Irwin and Crocodile Dundee are extreme stereotypes and they lay it on thick for the sake of selling the image. The average Australian is no longer even white. We have been infiltrated by asians, indians and muslims like everywhere else.
