It's absolutely alright not to be normal in every way. That's what's wrong with this world. Too many people who deem themselves to be the judges of proper behavior and are intolerant of those who don't meet their specifications.
As long as it doesn't harm anyone, including yourself, live the way you want. It's still a free country in many respects.

This. The amount of judgement these people show to people who are different bothers me.
It's not my thing, but if it makes them happy then go for it.
