Yeah, that's normal. I love licking down there too. I do understand her feeling self-conscious, but over time maybe she will loosen up and understand that you love every part of her, even the "dirty" parts. Maybe if you ask nicely beforehand and she can shower beforehand if that makes her feel better. Maybe ask her when she's drunk... Either way, if she does let you, don't let it turn into something where you have to do this every time and you are obsessed with doing it--that will just make her feel kind of objectified.
