It's NOT normal at all - but that's only because most people are too selfish. They want everything for themselves. But what you have is better - giving, receiving, loving... it's a true love where the pleasure of the people around you is as important to you as your own. Don't be afraid, love them both and enjoy. Your friends and family should be able to let it go if you all just tell them she is a good friend of you both. It may come out over the years, but don't let anyone's negative reaction bring you down. It's your life to enjoy.
