Oh I thought you were talking about making friends then you said hooking up. I can't see how anyone makes friends like that but maybe you need more friends of the same sex, assuming you aren't gay. Search yourself for what your main interests are and what you'd like to do for some hobbies or something and start there. It's not always so easy but sometimes you get lucky.
