Hmm... I'll have to make note of that. I have a friend who self identifies as a narcissist. He hasn't been formally diagnosed as I assume he's happy with his with presumed self diagnosis but I do recall hearing him say he doesn't feel guilty for things he does wrong. He also says he doesn't tend to get embarrassed.
I'm a practicing Catholic so I don't mind feeling guilty and examining my conscience. Hell, as long as it doesn't manifest in codependent behavior.
Is it normal I have the urge to hit my pets?

I see a head doctor every month. He says that I'm almost a "textbook" hedonistic-narcissist.
He told me that anti social (sociopathy) personality is more extreme and doesn't fit me.
The real difference being:
Sociopaths have little conscience because they simply never had a real one to begin with.
A narcissist has little conscience because they know it gets in the way of what they want.
