When I was about 8, I used to like hurting my mice. I even drowned one, after I killed it I never hurt another animal again. Never. I remember feeling terrible about it, I even tried to pump it's chest with my fingers trying to bring it back to life.
I think you'd be surprised how common your behavior is, and the fact that you feel bad makes me think there's something else wrong. Do you have feelings like you've got no control in life or is someone dominating you? Hurting animals could be your way of trying to deal with feeling powerless.
You feel bad about what you do, so you're no sicko. I think it has something to do with other emotional problems.
I actually get sexually aroused by being dominated. Lol, but, I don't think that has anything to do with. I do feel jealous of my pets sometimes. Like they get way more love from my parents than me. That might be it?
Is it normal I have the urge to hit my pets?
