Yes women certainly do it, but it's not a pathology often found in them.

Both things have nothing to do with it, people with such proclivities are very rarely crazy. Most animal abusers are sadists and/or people within the scope of anti-social disorder, almost always absent of psychosis. That's why serial killers never successfully plead insanity.
