It's about not wanting to lorded over freedom is the important thing humans have. Governments limit freedom. People are not helpless we are not sheep who need a shepard we can take care of ourselves. If we aren't free we may as well be dead. Our American predecessors said give me liberty or give me death for a reason. The point of a government is to to protect the peoples rights but they inevitably just end up looking after themselves.
1) Freedom is not the greatest good; it is far from the greatest good.
2) If the purpose of the government is to protect people's rights, that implies that without a government, people's rights are in a worse state than under a government, and your hatred of government is not because they harm your rights, but for some other reason, since, without the government, your rights would be worse off.
The ultimate purpose of humans is to obtain the true happiness present in heaven. God is the greatest good; there is none greater, and to serve God is the greatest good for a human being.
God alone leads to happiness. God did want his people to be free; he wanted his people to be able to freely choose good. If he did not, we would not have free will. He does not, however, want his people to choose evil, and ability to choose evil is something that American-style freedom entails. True Christian freedom (which is a good freedom that leads to happiness, because it leads to God) is a different type of freedom from what you believe is freedom.
Iin I have no respect for authority?

You have two things wrong:
1) Freedom is not the greatest good; it is far from the greatest good.
2) If the purpose of the government is to protect people's rights, that implies that without a government, people's rights are in a worse state than under a government, and your hatred of government is not because they harm your rights, but for some other reason, since, without the government, your rights would be worse off.

Free will and the ability to choose the path of evil has nothing to do with America it's because the forbidden fruit was eaten.
