Nothing wrong in any of what you say or believe or feel.
Not everyone aspires to be the best.
You say you get by. and that is what is imortant to you.
So just live the way you wish, and be so happy that you have a choice to do it, and obviously some sort of income to let you live your life the way you want it.
Why are you seeking approval if you believe in what you are doing?
Perhaps you are hoping for a clue? Perhaps you just want to say you are happy.
Most people on here, as the site name suggests ..want to find out if it is normal because they have questioned their activities.
There are probably millions like you who are woried about not being enthusiastic about being alive.
