I did not like the last best friend I had so I cut off ties with him. The one who I thought was my current best friend does not meet me even when she is in college sometimes. I feel really bad when that happens. And that happened today.
I think it's more normal than most people would have you believe.
If people were truelly surrounded by friends there wouldn't be much need for social media. Posting our lives and memes to relative strangers we once knew and now rarely ever see.
Growing up we are surrounded by proximity friends, kids in the neighborhood and school. Once we grow up and lose touch it becomes much more difficult to make friends. Lives become hectic with work and family obligations etc.
Our western culture is really pretty sad when you think about it.
Well it’s worse if you had friends but then been forced to move and now you have none where you are :/
I dunno what to say in this moment, because I've honestly lost track of all my old friends. It's not nice, but I feel like a bit if a failure in life so I have just kept to myself as if late.
I had my one or two main mates I hung with, never really though about it until now but now that I'm older I actually don't have any friends, I mean I'm not lonely because I have 5 family members living with me, guess moving, working and life got in the way and i slowly lost contact. In my work I do I meet different people and I don't work with other people to make friends.
I didnt have any friends until I was 20. Not even one. Always alone everyday. I think its quite normal, back then I didnt think so but now you hear about many people in the same situation.
