I have had relationships before that never seemed to work out. At this point it just seems dumb. I have dated a few times recently and I just find it annoying. I find people very annoying. Is it normal I am this irritated by people?
Studies show that the more intelligent a person is, the more annoying he/she finds most other people. Studies also show intelligent people are much more pessimistic than those who are all sunshine and happiness. So don't worry about it, they aren't worth it. Try associating with people who aren't so dumb and you probably won't find them as irritating.
Your situation sounds goods. I wish I could be less interested in guys and actually focus my attention on school work. Your story sounds a lot like mine actually. None of my past relationships have really worked out, and the thought of dating someone now just makes me feel awkward. I just want a guy friend, someone to hang out with without any romance. Maybe it's because I'm considered a bit of an outcast, but I just don't like people in general...
People are very annoying. Try to find some that are less so. Don't ask me how, I have no idea.
Sometimes people can be so immature it is hard to believe. So you have to learn to deal with it or become a monk or something.
I think people who annoy others don't notice so much, they think it is normal to irritate others and see nothing wrong with it...that may be how the intelligence part is related.
I think just taking a break and being alone at times helps, and then get back into learning how to deal with others. Anyway, I think I sometimes do things that bother others accidentally, but I usually apologize if I offend the person.
