I've tried but it never felt natural. Maybe because every time I start talking she runs for a toy. Also she just looks at me then turns her head/walks away. So hard to impress. I do make passing remarks though.
When I hug her I say, "Huuuug! I got you you can't escape!" Or if I want her to come to me sometimes I say her name ending in bird call, "Su-SHEE! Su-SHEE!" I also say things like "Waddup beitch?", sing to her "Sushi roll hotter than wasabi" (Drake), "Hello there", "Stop staring at me/What are you looking at?" (in jest) stuff like that.
Is it normal I have conversations with my animals?
