Jobs are nearly all terrible. Life is terrible. It just comes down to what is more terrible- being unemployed and thus poverty stricken and unloved, or having a miserable job that you hate so that you can have sex, people to socialize with, and a small amount of respect. Either way you are going to be little more than a slave. You have to make the decision of which is the lesser evil.
Life is awful and meaningless. Thats how it has always been, and how it always will be. I think it is unfortunate that kids today are brought up with the lie that life is something other than misery and hell. That is why people like you are hit so hard when they discover that their job is not fulfilling, sex and marriage has little to do with love, and if you are one of the few who is lucky enough to achieve everything, you will merelly be overcome by the misery of boredom.
i certainly hope this isn't true. I look at careers like firefighters and doctors and think they are the true winners in life. Too bad it's practically like winning the lottery to end up in these careers. eff.
