Slowly begin to exercise. Don't push yourself too hard. You need to gradually increase your exercise though, but you will see progress soon enough. Don't weigh yourself more than once a week. Don't be discouraged if you don't see improvement from one week to the next. The most important thing is to somehow exercise more often. Even if it starts off as just walk around the mall you should be fine. If you decide to hit the treadmill perhaps you could just walk/jog half a mile everyday for a week. The following week go for 3/4 a mile or even the whole mile if you're up to it. Set a further distance every week. The cycle you speak of can be broken. Once you begin to see progress, and again, be patient, you will loose some desire to eat as much as well. Your appetite will slowly change as your body changes. This is coming from personal experience, and also some of the advice was taken from weight watchers experts. If you got yourself here, you can very well get yourself out! You can break the cycle. I believe in you. I'm just a random person online who took the time to type this because I know you can do it. Good luck.
