I was exactly like that with my older sister. She moved away and a few years later we were like best friends.
Later we moved in together, and she assumed the "I'm always right" attitude. At the end of two years together we were fighting badly and not on speaking terms.
A year after not living together again we now enjoy our time together and shopping etc. But I am careful to space out time spent with her because I am very aware that we will start fighting if we hang out too often. Also don't bring up sensitive subjects like a person she HATES and you like.
The further away you stay from her the more you will like her :D
