Is it normal i hate children?

I used to like children (though never love them) and I used to dream about having my own kids. That is until I had to babysit this one little (b)witch whose own mother didn't like her. (she claimed she loved her, just didn't like her) Since then, I've had to work around children and watch as they manipulate their parents, whine, cry, tantrum, etc etc and thus, I hate and despise children and babies.

I don't think babies are anything to celebrate, either. I work at a place where we set up parties, and whenever there's a baby shower I get filled with a rage. Seriously, why do people think these little paracites are worth celebrating? They steal your freedom, they are expensive, they take up all your attention, and you are stuck with them for the rest of your life.

They also grow up to be the next criminals/politicians/degenerates/bums/lazy asses and fail-members of society. It's like people think babies are gifts from heaven who stay that way forever.

They're not. They are paracites. I will NEVER. have children.

    Chop off their heads and wear them as hats, I suggest you do this to anyone you dont like. It is very theraputic

    You're setting your view on children based on ONE of them who you didn't like. Children are not all as you described above. You were a child once, so you're a paracite too? Open your mind a little more.

      Actually I'm basing it on not only that one, but on every child I've ever had to come into contact with. And that has been literally HUNDREDS. And when I was a child, I was polite, quiet, and understood what the word 'no' meant. If I couldn't have something, I didn't bitch and throw a tantrum. I put it back, and got on with my life.

        You're not the only one who has those qualities as a child. Just because parents don't know how to raise their child doesn't mean you have take it out on them.

    If the early 20th century had that attitude then we'd never have Nelson Mandela, MLK, Aung Sang Kyuu Ki, Mother Teresa, or Francis Crick.

    Same thing happened to me. I used to like kids, planned on having my own if I got married, and just enjoyed being around them..until my junior year in high school I had to babysit my cousin's 6 kids. Oldest was 10 at the time and the youngest was like 18 months old. There was a set of twins in there also..Lol it was horrible! Not only did I have to run around the entire house the whole 5 hours, but I noticed how mush is taken away when you have kids. There's no time to actually be alone without being worried or bothered. I'd hate it. Now I can barely stand being around kids. If they're calm then I'm fine but if they start crying or whining then I go nuts. There's no way I'm ever having kids.

    We need people to think like you in order to keep the population down but I'm with you. I think too many people walk into the situation without realistic expectations or experience :o(
